Safe surfing starts with a safe, meaning protected computer. You should, at a minimum, have:
- A firewall turned on
- Operating system updated (using Automatic Updates)
- Installed and updated Anti-Virus software
- Installed and updated anti-spy ware or anti-mal ware
- Be using the latest and patched browser

Safe Internet Shopping
When shopping on the Internet, consider this:
- Do they have a physical address?
- Do they have a privacy policy?
- Do they have a return policy?
- Do they use a familiar vendor for money transactions (like PayPal®)?
